

The Environment and Sustainable Development Unit of the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS-ESDU) is the entity within the OECS Secretariat that is responsible for the provision of natural resource and environmental management services to the member states of the OECS.
The mandate of the OECS-ESDU is to:
Assist Member States in all matters pertaining to the sustainable use of natural resources to ensure the sustainability of livelihoods of the peoples of the OECS.
The mission of the OECS-ESDU is:
"To be a dynamic facilitator for effective management of natural resources for sustainable development in the OECS sub-region through collaboration with and among member states".
The ESDU was formerly known as the NRMU - Natural Resources Management Unit.
The Export Development Unit
The EDU Staff is comprised of a team of dedicated professionals with significant private sector experience. All of our Business Development Officers have sucessfully operated small businesses and bring a wealth of experience and qualifications to the table . This team is led by the regionally respected and recognised personage of Vincent Philbert. Our goal is to create winning companies.
Mission Statement
The Export Development Unit (EDU) will act as the primary sub-regional institution of the OECS Member States for the development, promotion, and expansion of exports through the mobilization of technical and financial support for the agriculture and manufacturing private sector, and the provision of advice and assistance to member Governments and the public sector agencies.
