Our Work
The Education Development Unit
The EDMU operates as a professional customer-needs-driven organisation, providing the best mix of integrative solutions in education reform while promoting and encouraging the full participation of Member States.
The Environment and Sustainable Development Unit
The Environment and Sustainable Development Unit of the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS-ESDU) is the entity within the OECS Secretariat that is responsible for the provision of natural resource and environmental management services to the member states of the OECS.
Pharmaceutical Procurement Services
Financial constraints have made it increasingly difficult for developing countries to adequately finance the supply of drugs to health facilities. The countries comprising the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) have recognized that by improving the use of existing resources could be achieved by efficient procurement practices. Of the four areas of drug supply management, which include selection, procurement, distribution, and use, efficient procurement provides the greatest opportunity for cost-savings.
Statistics and Data Desk
In support of the thrust towards an OECS Economic Union, there exists an urgent need for the OECS Secretariat to facilitate in collaboration with Member States Statistics Departments, the compilation and production of accurate, reliable, comparable, complete and accessible statistics and information to support the processes of regional policy formulation, decision-making and monitoring of programmes designed to benefit the citizens of the OECS region.
Trade Policy Unit
In 2003 the OECS Secretariat established the Trade Policy Unit within the Economic Affairs Division to assist Member States to formulate and implement trade policies and negotiate trade rules and arrangements which will facilitate sustainable development.
